USDA-FNS recently issued Streamlining Program Requirements and Improving Integrity in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), a proposed rule that would simplify and clarify SFSP program requirements. Several of the proposed changes would formally codify many of the rescinded policies previously available as nationwide waivers, as well as allow for a number of flexibilities currently available through policy guidance.
