Community Eligibility: Continue to Provide Free Meals to All Students for Years to Come

Community eligibility election season is upon us! This year has highlighted the value of offering school meals at no charge to all students. As we look ahead to the 2021-2022 school year, there are many school nutrition unknowns. But a few things are clear: community eligibility offers school districts and schools the opportunity to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students for four school years, and the dramatic increase in need and in SNAP participation driven by the pandemic will help to make community eligibility financially viable for more school districts and schools. Join this webinar to hear from speakers about the basics and benefits of community eligibility, along with resources and tools available to help make the election process seamless. This webinar is co-sponsored by AASA, The School Superintendents Association; American Federation of Teachers; National Education Association; Food Research & Action Center (FRAC); and the School Nutrition Association.
