On Friday, September 25 from 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. EST, the Children’s Leadership Council will host a webinar titled, “The Fall Fiscal Showdown: What is at stake for children and families.”
As Congress continues it works on the federal budget and appropriations process, programs that benefit children and youth of all ages face considerable threats. And unless Congress acts, spending cuts, otherwise known as the sequester, will come back in FY 2016 further limiting funding available for children and youth programs for many years to come.
This hour-long webinar will discuss: budget and tax proposals in Congress; what these proposals mean for children, their families and the communities in which they live; and how advocates can get engaged to make sure that children and families are a priority during negotiations.
Join this webinar to learn how you can stand with the CLC and make sure our nation’s babies, children and youth all have their needs represented and spoken for during this critical time.
